Effects of this medicine

This medicine improves the diarrheal symptoms by suppressing intestinal peristaltic movement, proliferation of intestinal bacteria and intestinal putrefaction/fermentation, and by convergence action.
It is usually used to treat diarrhea.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    If you have hemorrhagic colitis (such as O-157) or bacterial diarrhea.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
