Effects of this medicine

This medicine suppresses platelet agglutination by inhibiting platelet cyclooxygenase and consequently prevents formation of blood clot.
It is usually used for the prevention of blood clot formation in patients with angina pectoris, myocardial infarction and ischemic cerebrovascular disease as well as for the treatment of Kawasaki's disease.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

  • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rach, etc.) to any medicines. 
    If you have a peptic ulcer or hemorrhagic diathesis.
    If you have a present or past history of aspirin-induced asthma. If you are within 12 weeks expected delivery date.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

  • Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is ((        to be written by a healthcare professional))
  • For prevention of blood clot and thrombus formation in patients with angina pectoris, myocardial infarction or ischemic cerebrovascular disease: In general, for adults, take one tablet at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted up to 4 tablets at a time according to the severity of symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
    For the treatment of Kawasaki's disease: During an acute stage with fever, take 30 to 50 mg/kg a day in three divided doses. During recovery stage and chronic phase after defervescence, take 3 to 5 mg/kg once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the severity of symptoms. Each tablet of this medicine contains 81 mg of aspirin. Strictly follow the instructions.
  • You should not take this medicine on an empty stomach.
  • If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible and do not take on an empty stomach. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
  • If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

  • As alcohol (drinking) may possibly aggravate any gastrointestinal disorder, reduce the amount of alcohol or avoid taking alcohol altogether.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal disorder, hives, eruption and epistaxis. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
  • respiratory distress, generalized flushing, hives [shock, anaphylaxis]
  • headache, nausea, black stool  [bleeding]
  • fever, erosive skin or mucosa, blister  [oculomucocutaneous syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis, exfoliative dermatitis]
  • respiratory distress, wheeze (whistling) [asthma attack]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.

  • Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
